Travel Grant Partner
The CSB 2026 brings together the very people who will define the next decade of nature-positive energy transition, and many of the most promising contributions come from early-career researchers with limited institutional travel budgets. The Travel Grant Partner package lets your organisation directly fund the participation of a young researcher whose abstract has been accepted at CSB 2026.
The Travel Grant Partner package is a visible, values-driven commitment to the scientific community your business depends on, at a moment when supporting emerging talent matters more than ever.
HOW IT WORKS
- France Renouvelables allocates grants to young researchers (PhD students, early-career scientists) whose abstracts were accepted, based on demonstrated need and travel distance.
- Grants cover the conference registration fee and contribute as much as possible to travel and accommodation costs.
- A short online form collects interest and travel details from eligible young researchers ahead of allocation.
WHY IT MATTERS
- Directly supports the next generation of researchers working on solar energy and biodiversity.
- Strengthens the diversity and geographic reach of the scientific programme.
- Offers a genuine, story-driven CSR narrative: your organisation’s name tied to a named researcher’s journey, not just a logo.
- A modest, non-exclusive commitment, ideal for organisations who want to support CSB 2026 through philanthropy rather than pure visibility spend.
I’M A YOUNG RESEARCHER – HOW DO I APPLY?
- To apply, please complete this form: CSB 2026 – Travel Grant Application
- Eligibility criteria: be within 5 years of completing your PhD (orequivalent research degree) or be a current BSc/MSc/PhD student, and be the author of an abstract accepted for CSB 2026
- Applications will be assessed by the organising committee. Priority will be given to applicants from countries listed within low, lower middle and upper middle income classes based on the World bank classification, and to those working in laboratories or universities.
- If the application is successful, the organising committee may request proof of eligibility.
Requests are expected to exceed available funding in some cases: grants will then be prioritised by travel distance and demonstrated financial need, with partial support offered where a full grant isn’t possible. Should Travel Grant Partner contributions exceed eligible requests, France Renouvelables commits to using the surplus to enhance the experience of every attendee at CSB 2026.
